Wellness’s Hair & Nail NutriComplex provides a combination of different nutrients that are beneficial for hair and nail health. Taken alongside a balanced diet, regular exercise and stress management, the minerals selenium and zinc in the blend help support maintenance of normal hair and nails! Take two tablets daily.

In addition, it contains the amino acids L-Lysine and L-Cysteine, flavonoid rich apple extract, the mineral iron, and the antioxidant vitamin C.

The amino acids L-Lysine and L-Cysteine are important building blocks of keratin, the main component of hair, nail, and skin (Goluch-Koniuszy, 2016). Apple extract contains flavonoids that have shown to have antioxidant activity (Tenore, 2018; Goluch-Koniuszy, 2016). Iron is a mineral that is an important component in many proteins and enzymes. In addition, iron activates enzymes that are important for hair growth. A classic symptom of iron deficiency is hair loss and brittle nails, especially in women (Tosti, 2009). Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is a water-soluble vitamin with many different functions. It contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress, supports normal collagen formation for the normal function of skin and increases iron absorption. It also helps to build keratin in the hair shaft (Goluch-Koniuszy, 2016).
